Via the TED Blog, I found this great site listing some neat math tools and lessons within the context of indigenous cultures around the world.

Some neat ones include using cartesian coordinates to make virtual beadwork, play with Latin rhythms, Alaskan woven basket patterns (the link on the website to this page is wrong- use the one here instead), and more.  Digging a bit revealed tips such as how to bead students’ designs in the classroom, lesson plans and research.

Some great ideas here- if you have done similar things in your classroom, or know of similar resources, please leave a note in the comments!
